In this note I’m going to show you how to prime ChatGPT or any other large language model to write in the tone of your business.
This will work wether you are a blogger or a multi-million dollar corporation, and whether you are looking to generate blog posts, Instagram captions, YouTube descriptions, emails, LinkedIn posts, or any other type of content you want to create.
It takes just one prompt.
In a minute I'm going to ask you to write copy for my business, [BUSINESS NAME]. This includes blog posts, Instagram captions, sales emails, and LinkedIn posts [OR WHATEVER ELSE YOU ARE LOOKING TO CREATE]. Before we begin I want you to ask me 15-20 specific questions to better understand my business, my audience, my customers, my values, and my tone of voice. That’s it.
I have been using this for over a year now, and I have seen other similar variations shared around on social media.
It will certainly take some time to answer these questions, but the results are worth it.
After I submit all the answer, I like to ask it:
Now give me a detailed summary of this that I can use to give you writing instructions in the future.I can use this summary in everything else I do going forward. I can put it into a PDF and use it as a file to feed ChatGPT. I can use it at the beginning of new chats to have ChatGPT follow for whatever I am creating next.
Or I can just keep it handy to give to ChatGPT periodically in the same running chat to remind it of what I want it to follow.
