For all of you SEO tool lovers, at some point, you are probably going to bog down either your home computer, internet connection, or both. Between Scrapebox, Bookmarking Demon, Magic Submitter, and whatever else you have running right now, you might find yourself maxing out your computer’s processing power. Alternatively, you might just be looking for an easy way to access certain software on the go. That is when it is time to look into getting yourself a virtual private server, or VPS.
A VPS is basically a computer setup remotely that you can access from anywhere that has an internet connection. Your VPS can come in many variations. You will find some basic ones with as little as 512 MB’s of memory. Others will range up to 3-4 GB’s of memory or more. One thing to keep in mind when looking for a VPS is that it is generally not bogged down with all the garbage on your home computer. It is a more simple operating system with just the essentials installed. You probably are not going to need one with anywhere near the same memory or computing capacity as your home computer.
The great thing about a VPS is that you no longer need to keep your computer on all the time for those long overnight Scrapebox runs or that project you setup in Magic Submitter or SEnuke X that is going to run for 3 weeks. No more annoying popup windows as things are running in the background. You just set them up on your private server, which is always running. Difference being, you are not paying the electric bill.
If you shop around for a VPS, I highly recommend you stay away from the big guys like HostGator. I cannot say enough good things about HostGator for shared hosting or a reseller account, but for a VPS, they are extremely expensive. They are not alone. All of the larger hosting companies that offer virtual private servers are expensive.
The best one I found is through a site called Website Service Plus. Their prices are are the best around, and their service is fantastic. I have been using two VPS’s through them for over a year now and have never had a complaint. I will be honest, their website is not the best. When you visit it, you might think it looks a little cheap and a bit difficult to navigate. When you get to their page from the link above, just click on “order now” under the VPS hosting. Then you will see options for Windows servers. Select UK, West Coast, East Coast, or Dallas. Then you will see all the different server and pricing options.
If you have decided you need a VPS, you cannot go wrong with them.
EDIT: 2/16/12 – WebsiteServicePlus has sold out of Windows virtual private servers. They say they will have more available, but it has been over 2 months now with no additional servers being made available.
As an alternative, I have tried and recommend using Black Box for your VPS provider.

Website Service Plus for VPS service is out of stock. I just checked. Any other solution ?
I didn’t realize that. The message does say they hope to have more in stock soon. I would give it a few days and see if they get some more setup. Honestly, the other providers I have tried in the past have either cost a LOT more or they have been unreliable.
Can I use cracked or patched software’s in this VPS
I don’t know. If I find a piece of software worthwhile, I do not mind paying for it.
